Ruffled Flower Tutorial

Hi everyone!

I am in the middle of a marathon, making about 60 flowered pins for a women’s church event at the end of this month, and these are quick makes and really gorgeous! I’ve been getting several requests on how to make these pretties, so I’ve put together a quick tutorial on making your own beautiful fabric flower from ruffles.
These work best with really light fabrics such as chiffon, satin, rayon, etc. No need to buy new, just cut up that skirt or blouse or scarf that you never wear, or get one from the thrift shop, and give it new life!

Note on finished size: Since you are attaching your ruffle facing outwards, your finished flower will be about 2” wider than your felt. So, if you wanted your finished flower to be about 5” for example, I would start with 3” felt circles.

Have fun, and get creative!
